Here at 4:30 on a Friday for dinner with the Mrs. Ordered the fried whitefish platter($8.99) and the Mrs had the fried seafood platter ($10.99). We shared an appetizer of fried chicken gizzards. ($5.99) Thinking that the fried food may not be helping our waistlines? The gizzards were hot and tasty. Not super tender but hey, don't know that I'd trust tender gizzards. Two big whitefish fillets on my platter, which included 2 sides. I had coleslaw and fried cabbage for sides and the hush puppies came with it too. The fish was mild tasting and served piping HOT. Sides were all quite good. The wife enjoyed her seafood platter. It came with one whitefish fillet, clam strips, a pile of small shrimp, and a Krab (vice crab) cake. Both of us thought the food was good. Especially for the price. Our waitress was awesome. Friendly and attentive. Total cost of dinner was around $31. Po Folks isn't fancy nor do they serve eclectic cuisine. They do have good food and good service at a reasonable price. And they do serve grilled seafood as well as fried. Recommended. Four stars for value and service.

Fish was good. Fries sucked. Served with such laziness you know the server thinks that just because they bring you the food you have to tip. And watch where you sit. They don't like to wipe off seat after wiping table onto them. Poor service. Mediocre food.

First if all the parking lot was packed but the restaurant wasn't. So don't be freaked out by a full parking lot. We had a party of 5 and we were seated within 2 minutes of arrival. We were waited on within 2-3 minutes and the server took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. She brought our drinks and took our order. She was very knowledgable about the menu and the food that is prepared. I ordered the lunch portion of fried chicken with potato salad, Mac and cheese, with a biscuit. Other orders at the table was country fried steak, grilled sausage sandwich, fish sandwich,and another fried chicken. Our food arrived within 10 minutes and it was hot and fresh. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and delicious. Everyone else said their food was hot, fresh, and delicious also. The other high points were black eyed peas, hush puppies, and the bread. The service was fantastic and it was a great overall service. I would recommend.

What a great place to eat! Perfect for a family gathering. The food is very, very good and lots of it. If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. The service is cheerful, quick and attentive. The food for 6 of us came out fairly quick and all of it was hot and right out of the kitchen.

Okay. Three stars but only because the day just started at Pofolks and the server identified me to her coworkers as "the guy not from here". Darn tooting I'm not from here lady. First clue? I have money and I'm in Pofolks. Otherwise the food was good. Couldn't get enough of the strawberry lemonade. I bet if you added some vodka it would be even better! Yes I admitted to a fufu drink. You don't like it that's your deal not mine. Bathroom is clean. Maybe this should be a four star review but I just can't stand ignorant servers. I get they work hard but one of the first tables of the day and your obviously being a total b****? If you hate your job you know what they say.

LOVE it here!!! Always great food and the best sweet tea...we go at least once a week. A little slow with service and not the friendliest servers either but the food makes up for it!!!

We'd been wanting to try this location for a couple of years, but never got around to it. Dropped-in last Friday afternoon around 2 PM and found it steady, but not terribly busy. Perfect! The building is amazing--vintage, and much larger than it appears from outside. Olivia was our server, and she was awesome. Ordered the Kuntry Fried Steak, wife ordered the catfish. Both arrived in about 10-minutes (as the other reviewer stated). Perfectly cooked, and clearly prepared to order. The freshness of all items was obvious, and delicious. Also, the fried green tomatoes were excellent. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Lynn Haven location of Po' Folks. Ask for Olivia. Prepare to stuff yourself (prices are ridiculously low), and walk slowly out of there happily satisfied! Five stars!
